Different countries want startups to relocate there and are offering incentives - would you take them?
Hey all, I just published some research on what different countries are doing to entice entrepreneurs to relocate. Whether visas, grants, mentorship, coaching... there's a lot. Question for the group: Would you consider relocating / moving your startup post-COVID? Content: Visas, Incentives, and More: Here’s What Countries are Doing to Attract Remote Companies As lockdowns ease, more than a few entrepreneurs are thinking about what’s next for them and their businesses, especially if they’ve chosen to stay remote. As news hit about remote worker visas in Barbados, or as small towns and cities are more equipped than ever to lure weary big-city remote workers, you’ve got to ask… what about the founders? Sure, remote founders can work from anywhere just like their teams. Where things get interesting, though, is that many countries are launching programs to lure entrepreneurs to relocate their businesses or start up a new company - and with them come access to public funds, free visas, and even a path to citizenship. As governments think about recovery from COVID and general growth for the future, a handful are getting serious about offering a lot of perks to entice entrepreneurs to relocate. All programs have three key elements to them, though in differing quantities:
Accelerated / extended resident visa permits.
Access to the country’s startup support ecosystems.
Funding / financial support.
So if you’ve ever thought about relocating, being an entrepreneur is one of the fastest tickets out. In this article, I’ve highlighted a mix of programs, but it’s not necessarily exhaustive. I tried to focus on the programs with unique elements or that are easy to apply for. While large funding requirements or other hurdles may not be a problem for many companies, my goal here was to highlight the programs that work for the majority of entrepreneurs, including small businesses and freelancers who recently went remote.
France: La French Tech
France has a long history of artisan entrepreneurship but less in the big tech or digital scene. However, the government is hoping to change that with its La French Tech visa programs. There are three kinds of La French Tech visas:
For entrepreneurs launching businesses in France.
For employees joining French startups.
For investors putting money into French startups.
The founder-focused program requires you to get accepted to one of France’s 30+ startup incubators and accelerators, so your ability to get in hinges on that acceptance. France also has a unique program in the sense that it provides a 4 year visa automatically (most other programs only provide 1-2 year visas) and family members are automatically granted residency rights regardless of which visa you get. Finally, the program is diploma agnostic - it’s geared towards creative people and entrepreneurs, not necessarily only STEM grads like many other countries. Internet connectivity is relatively high quality in cities, though it can be lacking in the countryside. If you’re relocating, check for good internet service first. Startup Chile
Chile is hoping to attract entrepreneurs with cash, incentives, a visa, and the natural beauty of the country. The Startup Chile program is actually an accelerator - billed as the “best accelerator in LatAm.” As part of the program, though, non-citizens are granted a one year visa to live in the country while building your company. Highlights of the program are:
1 year visa.
Equity-free funding options to build your startup.
Up to $100k in perks / free offerings from their partners.
Connections with local businesses for validation, testing, and customer growth.
Chile is not known for blazing fast wifi, but if you’re in the accelerator and living within city boundaries, you should be alright. More info: https://www.startupchile.org/
Startup Denmark
The kingdom of Denmark seriously wants entrepreneurs to relocate there. Named by the World Bank as the number one country in Europe for doing business, the country wants to further attract entrepreneurs. The Startup Denmark program is geared to helping people realize the ease of doing business in Denmark, specifically:
Free, independent business advice provided through publicly-funded Business Development Centres in the country.
Focused clusters for cleantech, life science, design, and sustainable energy.
Access to funding through Innovation Fund Denmark and the Danish Growth Fund, both of which are available to non-citizens.
Internet connectivity and penetration is very high in Denmark, so high-tech companies (or even just remote companies with a lot of zoom meetings) should be just fine. More info: https://startupdenmark.info/
Enterprise Ireland
The only English-speaking country on the euro, Ireland is a prime place for doing business. Its geographic location makes it easily accessible to Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and North America, and its low corporate tax rate has already attracted major players including Google and Starbucks. Enterprise Ireland has also launched an entrepreneur visa, which is specifically for entrepreneurs who can:
Feasibly create 10 jobs in Ireland within 3-4 years.
Raise 50,000 euros for the first founder and 30,000 additional euros per additional co-founder needing a visa.
Be controlled from Ireland.
Despite rigid sounding rules, the visa program is actually quite flexible. For instance, the fundraising requirements can be through almost any funding option, including using your own money and not taking any investment dollars. Further, the notion of being “controlled” from Ireland is more flexible than other countries that require a certain percentage of business to be done in the country for founders to be eligible for a visa. EntrePass Singapore
Singapore took the world markets by storm in the past few decades, going from a small island nation with no natural resources to a global hub of finance and casinos. Now, the country wants to be known as a hub for global entrepreneurship. The EntrePass in Singapore grants founders a 2 year visa to live in Singapore while building a business. Like other programs (France, for example), businesses must be accepted into an accelerator in order for the founders to qualify for a visa. However, where Singapore adds a bit of strictness is two-fold:
The business must be net-new or less than 6 months old at the time of application. This program is only for new businesses.
Your business must be accepted into a government-backed accelerator or receive funding from a government-backed investor.
The Singaporean government is usually tolerant with expats, but the laws on the island can be incredibly strict. The program can be amazing for new entrepreneurs, though, especially given Singapore’s strategic location and relatively low taxes. Italia Startup Visa
Known for fine leathers, fashion, and amazing food, Italy is now hoping to become known as a centre of innovation. The country offers two kinds of visas for non-EU entrepreneurs:
Italia Startup Visa
Italia Startup Hub
The Visa is made for entrepreneurs who aren’t currently in Italy but want to relocate there to start / scale their business. The Hub option is for people already in Italy who want to stay and launch a business (I think Italy caught onto the fact that people sitting in gorgeous villages sipping a coffee might just want to stick around). Visa programs came about through Italy’s “Decree 179/2012,” which is the country’s program to explicitly attract what they deem ‘innovative startups’ to the country. In general, innovative startups by Italy’s definition are technology companies that either invest more than 15% of their revenues to R&D, employ PhD-level researchers full-time, or own patents for inventions or ‘original software.’ The visa lasts for 1 year, but is renewable for another 2 years. While business taxes in Italy can be fairly high, the relatively low cost of living can balance those costs out. More info: http://italiastartupvisa.mise.gov.it/
SMART Visa Thailand
Thailand is one of the only programs to highlight that spouses and children are automatically granted residency (along with France) - and that your spouse will have a work visa included in their residency permit as well. The country’s SMART visa program has four tiers:
S - Startup.
T - Talent.
E - Executives.
I - Investors.
S visas are explicitly for entrepreneurs and startup founders, and have three options: a 2-year, a 1-year, and a 6-month visa. The 2-year program is for designated high-tech startups, the 1-year for incubator and accelerator-backed startups of all varieties, and the 6-month visa is intended for sales and promotion in Thai markets as opposed to setting up shop in Thailand. More info: https://smart-visa.boi.go.th/smart/pages/smart_s.html
Startup Visa Lithuania
A Baltic country bordering Poland and Latvia by land and Denmark and Sweden by sea, Lithuania has some of the fastest internet on the planet and gorgeous medieval towns and sea views. The visa program is part of Startup Lithuania, a government-backed organization geared towards helping Lithuania succeed in global markets. Recognizing that many people have probably heard the name “Lithuania” but don’t know much about it, the Startup Visa program focuses heavily on soft landings with guides on how to relocate, connections to other relocated workers and entrepreneurs, and links into the country’s extensive support programs for businesses. More info: https://startupvisalithuania.com/about-us/
Startup Estonia
The original “digital society,” Estonia is regularly in the news for how connected their society is. The internet is fast, citizenship is digital, and the country even launched a remote worker visa to entice more people to relocate. On the entrepreneur side of things, Startup Estonia launched a Startup Visa to encourage entrepreneurs to relocate to Estonia. The program is very explicitly focused on technology-based companies with global market potential, but Estonia has the minimum required capital of all programs in Europe (you only have to prove you have around $2,000 USD for a one-year visa). Entrepreneurs can apply for a 3-month visa to test the waters and get set up, or a 12-month visa to make the move and begin the process of permanent residency. Like its cousin Lithuania, Estonia has beautiful scenery, sea views, and a high quality of life. More info: https://startupestonia.ee/visa
Entrepreneur residence permits (Sweden)
Sweden is known in the business world for producing the likes of IKEA, but it’s also a welcoming country for entrepreneurs with companies of all sizes. While Sweden doesn’t have a flashy website or dedicated startup-lingo page, the Nordic country has a Self-Employment Residency visa, which provides up to 2 years stay - with a path to permanent residency - for self-employed individuals. The capital requirements are fairly low - you have to prove you have around $25,000 USD to support yourself while on visa - and you can apply from anywhere in the world. The primary potential downside for remote entrepreneurs is that this visa requires you to produce and/or sell the majority of your business’ goods and services in Sweden, which could be a challenge for a distributed workforce. More info: https://www.migrationsverket.se/English/Private-individuals/Working-in-Sweden/Self-employment.html
Not sure about relocating quite yet?
One of the wins of remote work is that you can physically do your job from anywhere. So if you’ve been dreaming of relocating but not sure about taking the actual plunge, plan an extended working holiday. Depending on where you’re from, most countries will allow you to stay at least a few weeks (and upwards of 90 days in some cases) with no visa or simply on a tourist visa. If you’re planning this kind of “working holiday,” here are some places to consider visiting (that have great, accessible wifi) for when the world opens back up: Cities:

Alright, this is a fairly comprehensive list of all the active launch sites on Earth as of the year 1999, in Overheaven’s alternate history timeline. Realistically, most of these only launch satellites, and the ones that do shoot people into space are probably doing so with capsules, though the more developed countries have fleets of reusable space planes (both manned and unmanned). The overwhelming majority of launches are going to be routine unmanned, reusable rockets sending up supplies or satellites or space station construction materials, and then touching back down on the launch pad like SpaceX's BFR (we get that level of reusable launch vehicle by the mid/late 70's, rather than the late 2010’s - amazing what you can accomplish when two superpowers feel the need to put thousands of nukes in orbit, because the 1967 Outer Space Treaty never happened). Many are run by the military or public-sector space agencies like the ESA, NASA, the Commonwealth Space Program, or Soyuzcosmos (the USSR's NASA counterpart), but I'm willing to bet that at least half (perhaps even two-thirds) of these are private-sector operations, and most non-military public-sector launch sites do private-sector flights as well. Rockets like the Sea Dragon theoretically don't really need launchpads, and while there might be launch facilities which specialize with Sea Dragon-type rockets, I think that the smaller spaceflight companies would just buy one of these rockets, strap the payload on top, and tow it out to sea near the equator for launch. And there's also air-launched sub-orbital vehicles (stuff like Virgin Galactic's White Knight), which I wager could take off from regular old airports on the backs of Boeing 747's or Antonov 124's. Some of these are existing rocket launch sites (mostly for sounding rockets), which I've turned into full-on Cape Canaveral/Baikonur-type facilities, while others are proposed locations for launch sites, and some are just good ideas I figured would work but never appeared in our timeline. Anyway, I'm pretty sure this is enough space infrastructure to serve as the basis for a smoothly-running interplanetary civilization by 1999, with the Internet still in its infancy. In Overheaven’s alternate timeline, the lack of an OST leads to a more aggressive and ambitious space race. Men on on Mars by 1976, men on Venus by 1978, and the construction of huge nuclear missile platforms in orbit by both superpowers. By the late 70’s, space industry was just getting started, and by the 80’s, the “Space Boom” was in full swing, baby. Experimental atomic research, rotating space hotels, medical and chemical research labs in orbit, space manufacturing, solar power satellites, mining near-earth asteroids, space tourism, orbital fuel depots, telecom sats, space casinos, offworld banking, and so much more. By the late 1990’s, the idea of people working and even living in space is still exciting, but it’s also pretty damn normal now. With all these launches, plus material being extracted from Luna and near-Earth asteroids, I think it's perfectly feasible for there to be a few Stanford Toruses, and at least one O'Neill Cylinder, under construction in Earth orbit by '99. And as launch costs continue to plummet, expect the scale of humanity's ambitions to only escalate. And these are just the launch sites on Earth. I don't even know how many orbital launch facilities there'd be by this point - huge space stations building truly-massive vessels in zero-g with all those resources we're shooting up on what I imagine is a daily or even hourly basis; ships like those, built and fueled in orbit, would undoubtedly be able to reach Mars, Venus, Mercury, the Main Belt and Jupiter with relative ease. And everything I've stated here will only continue to grow at a geometric rate as more of the Solar System's resources are harnessed, spaceflight costs continue to drop, and technology continues to improve. And we’re not talking about Overheaven’s current year, which isn’t actually 1999. It’s 2185. Oh, right. Here's the list: United States of America: Cape Kennedy Space Center (Merritt Island, Florida) Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (Delmarva Peninsula, Virginia) John Glenn Memorial Spaceport (Matagorda Welcome to this post fellow redditors! With the Euro 2016 less than 6 months away, it is time to introduce the stadiums that will host the fixtures of this tournament. For each city, you will find an in-depth description of the stadium, a photo album and a link to the city guide made by UEFA. Let me know if I made some mistakes or oversights. I hope you enjoy the reading! Nota Bene:
All kick-off times of the fixtures are CET.
The names of the stadiums have been standardized for the Euro 2016 if their name is from a naming deal (this is the case for Bordeaux and Nice stadiums). The current names of the stadium can be found in brackets.
All inauguration dates of the renovated stadiums are for the renovation for the Euro 2016 except for the Parc des Princes where the renovations were too minor to consider an inauguration date.

Once threw crap in a friend's face. Is addicted to spider eyes and turrrrrrrrrrrrrrtles. His fans simply can't wait for the next episode of My Riding Stables 2, his most demanded series as of yet. His popular series Redstone Wars, featuring names like Kiershar, Sethbling, Static, and Xisumavoid, gained a lot of popularity. It showcased awesome redstone inventions! In addition to that, he has kindly founded the Redstone Academy for all redstone beginners out there. Under this kind pretense, though, he is able to be part of a 2-man mafia. Their activities range from trespassing to castle-takeovers! A peaceful castle is now being turned into a casino! All hail the magical trumpet-noise noise-maker! 22) As a Canadian and a Native American, ______ runs through the woods and caves of Minecraft, often with a bow in his hand and no clothes on. Pause right here. Now unpause. Look at your man, now look at me. Now back at this guy. Though he's a hard-headed man, he is still one of the most liked Mindcrack member. Think pauseitive. 23) ______ is more well-known as the Crazy Viking Man, though he has taken on a new identity: Batviking! Because he can take it. Because he's not hero, but an insanely awesome FPS shooter player and hyper minecraft builder! Swears a lot. Makes an unexpected good pairing with Etho. Imagine that! 24) ______ is a semi-old member of the sever. Went on a long hiatus! But he's back and has let the zen washed all over us. Back in good old days, before leaves would decay, this man would save the environment by replanting a sapling every time he cut a tree down. But now he is known as the Chopper, as he hacked a caravan into tiny pieces and spread them all over the world, forcing a helpless hermit to seek them all. He likes it in the rear. 25) We all know this crazy hilarious sheep! ______ was recommended to the server by PauseUnpause, causing a lot of Korean drama in the triangle of Beef. Beefliangle! He is currently working on a massive sheep project, though he no longer wishes to work on it as quoted by BBC. Someone burn that massive, hollow sheep to the ground! His name is derived from the word "millionaire" and "Beethoven". A successful composer! I apologize for all the bullcrap in advance! =)

Devices
Quatro Casino is part of the smaller group of Casino Rewards sites that have received a full mobile upgrade. If you want to play on mobile, then you can do if you smartphone or tablet is powered using Apple iOS or Android. Quatro Casino is instantly accessible and you are not asked to install software, so the process is impressively simple. Desktop users also have the option of instant accessibility from web browsers, with Chrome being the recommended option. If you play on Windows, however, you will have the option of installing Quatro Casino’s desktop platform. This contains all of the past Microgaming casino games that are not yet playable on other platforms.
Software
Microgaming has spent years as the core software provider to Quatro Casino. For a time, you could only play Microgaming content at the casino, which avoided taking the step of installing software from a range of other providers. Fortunately, there has been a shift at Microgaming, with the award-winning software company electing to run a couple of internal studios. As a result, the impressively designed slot games from Just for the Win and Rabcat are now available to play at Quatro Casino. Quatro Casino RTP is 95.91%. For those that wonder what RTP is, it’s short for Return to Player, per single bet. It means that when you place a $100 bet, in the long term you would receive $95.91 back. This is recorded over the past year and it gets updated every year.
Games
Quatro Casino promises that players potentially have access to more than 550 games, but the entire selection is only available through the downloadable Windows platform, as explained above. However, those are all older games, so you will have hundreds of prospects still to enjoy in the following categories: • Slots: Lucky Little Gods, Dragon’s Myth, EmotiCoins, Fruit vs Candy, and Halloween are just some of the best slots to play. • Jackpots: compete for supreme winnings in progressive jackpot games, including Mega Moolah slots, Jackpot Deuces, and Caribbean Draw Poker. • Roulette: there are only several roulette wheels, but these do cover US, French, and European variants of the rules. • Blackjack: Quatro Casino has many more blackjack tables, with the key options being Atlantic City, European, Vegas Strip, and Vegas Downtown.
Loyalty
From day one, you start at the first level of the Casino Rewards loyalty programme. This is an initiative that will enable you to covert your real-money wagering into the gradual earning of rewards. Eventually, you might even be able to reach the sixth and final level of the VIP loyalty scheme. Casino Rewards has a number of exciting initiatives, such as bonus money back on every bet and weekly promotions. Then there are special events like the VIP Lucky Jackpot and the Time of Your Life Sweepstakes. Join the loyalty scheme and you can access all of those benefits today.
Support
Quatro Casino gives desktop users access to more than 20 language options if they install the software package. For those who opt for instant-play, Quatro Casino can be switched through the languages of English, Spanish, German, Finnish, and Swedish. There is a solid support system through which you can submit your queries directly. Telephone and email are two options to consider, but live chat can offer extremely quick replies if you are signed in to your Quatro Casino account. The support system also extends to a deep range of frequently asked questions and answers. This area is packed with information and can provide you with exactly what you need to know about payments, promotions, and security.
Security
Security is top-of-the-line, with Quatro Casino using secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption. For reference, SSL encryption is the standard among online casino sites and is used to securely transmit your personal information and payment details. In addition any player registered through our links on Gambipedia.com will get direct assistance from us! If you run into any issue, problem or a general concern, drop a message: contact us. Verdict
Quatro Casino is one of the strongest sites on the Casino Rewards network. The mobile compatibility is a defining factor, but the expanded game selection is also a positive. You can also make the most of the welcome package thanks to the decreasing level of wagering requirements.
